Oklahoma Tornado Outbreak of May 24th 2011 On May 24th 2011 the state of Oklahoma experienced a historical tornado outbreak. At current count seven tornadoes touched down across the state. One of the larger tornadoes stayed on the ground for a full 75 miles.
